Corrocoat Benelux BV has recently completed a contract to refurbish four fire extinguisher pumps for a major oil storage company in the Rotterdam Port area.

Previously divers were required on a regular basis to inspect and clear away marine growth from the inlet areas of the pumps to ensure that intake flow would not be reduced in an emergency. This is a long and costly exercise, but by using Corroglass 600 series build coats and a Biofoul topcoat, excellent long term corrosion and anti-foul protection in this arduous environment is guaranteed, minimising the need for divers in the future.
